FCGS (Fairfield County Genealogy Society)
Genealogy Resource Library

The Fairfield County Genealogy Society operates the Fairfield County Archives & Resource Library that is
staffed by volunteers. The library staff will accept email requests for simple research for a nominal fee.
For members during the membership year, research assistance up to 2 hours per request and copies are
FREE. Research for walk-in (non-members) is free for the first two hours plus $0.10 per page for copies.
Research for non-members is $15.00 per request (after two hours). Email reply will include quick links to
digitized information available on the FCGS Members Only web pages. In some cases reply will be snail
mailed on a USB memory stick ($5 additional cost). For extensive research taking over two hours, the
requestor may be referred to and provided a private paid researcher list for more assistance. (Private
researcher's on average receive about $60 to $100 per hour or more for their fee.) Sorry, but we are not
staffed or have the volunteers to be able to give the appropriate amount of time to assist with doing your
family research for you.
